COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Manufacturing Engineering requires students to complete 240 credit points, consisting of 180 core credit points and 60 credit points from a chosen specialisation stream. The course structure is designed to provide advanced technical knowledge, practical engineering skills, and industry-focused capabilities required for modern manufacturing environments. In Level one, students complete 120 credit points of core subjects covering key areas such as Advanced Materials and Processes, Programming for Engineers and Scientists, Digital Manufacturing (Industry 4.0), Risk and Cost Engineering, Advanced Engineering Innovation, Design for Manufacture, Australian Engineering Environment Sustainability and Practice, and Engineering Research Methodology and Application. These units develop expertise in advanced manufacturing technologies, sustainable engineering practices, digital systems, and innovative design approaches. Level two includes 60 credit points of core subjects focusing on specialised areas such as Mechanics of Composite Materials, Computer Aided Engineering, Applied Management for Engineers, and Nano and Micro-Scale Manufacturing Engineering. Students also complete 60 credit points within a selected specialisation stream, allowing them to develop deeper expertise aligned with their professional interests and career goals. Through this combination of theoretical learning, practical applications, and specialised study, the program prepares graduates to solve complex manufacturing challenges, implement innovative production solutions, and contribute to advanced industries including aerospace, automotive, robotics, defence, and precision engineering.
