COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Extended Professional Accounting with the Data Analytics specialisation requires the completion of 240 credit points, combining advanced accounting knowledge with analytical and technology-focused skills. The course structure is designed to develop professional accountants who can interpret financial information, support strategic decision-making, and apply data-driven approaches to solve complex business challenges. Level One consists of 120 credit points of core subjects covering accounting principles and practices, economics for global leaders, statistics for business, principles of finance, company and commercial law, accounting information systems, financial accounting and reporting, and management accounting, along with the Academic Integrity Module. These subjects provide a strong foundation in financial management, reporting, legal frameworks, and business analysis. Level Two includes a 15-credit-point capstone subject in Advanced Accounting Issues, 30 credit points of core subjects in Taxation and Auditing and Assurance, and 15 credit points of prescribed electives such as Principles of Business Analytics or Industry Placement. Students also complete a 60-credit-point Data Analytics specialisation, developing expertise in data wrangling, modelling, analytics techniques, and artificial intelligence applications for business decision-making. By integrating professional accounting practices with advanced analytics capabilities, the program prepares graduates for careers in accounting, auditing, financial analysis, business advisory, and data-driven strategic roles across modern organisations and global markets.
