COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Engineering Management requires the completion of 240 credit points, consisting of 210 credit points of core subjects and 30 credit points of elective subjects. The course structure is designed to combine advanced engineering knowledge with essential business and management capabilities, preparing students for leadership roles in engineering-driven organisations. Level One consists of 120 credit points of core subjects that establish a strong foundation in business, management, sustainability, and engineering innovation. Students complete the Academic Integrity Module along with subjects including Accounting and Finance for Managers, Economics for Global Leaders, Statistics for Business, Circular Economy in Practice, Project Leadership, Applied Management for Engineers, Australian Engineering Environment Sustainability and Practice, and Advanced Engineering Innovation. These subjects develop students’ understanding of financial decision-making, business analysis, leadership, sustainable practices, project management, and innovative engineering solutions. The program enables engineers to strengthen their commercial awareness while gaining the skills needed to manage teams, projects, and complex organisational challenges. Through an integrated approach combining engineering expertise with management principles, students develop capabilities in strategic thinking, problem-solving, risk awareness, and sustainable development. The course prepares graduates to become effective engineering managers and leaders who can drive innovation, improve operational performance, and contribute to the future advancement of engineering industries.
