COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Education with the Inclusion and Diversity specialisation requires the completion of 240 credit points, combining core educational knowledge with advanced expertise in creating inclusive and equitable learning environments. The course structure is designed to develop educators and professionals who can respond effectively to diverse educational needs and promote socially just practices. Level One consists of 120 credit points of core subjects, including the Academic Integrity Module, How Humans Learn, Understanding and Building Leadership Capabilities, Utilising Emerging Technologies for Educational Purposes, Strategic Communication for Education, Educational Systems, Learning Environments: Applications of the Learning Sciences, Inclusion Equity and Access, and Leadership, Diversity and Inclusion. These subjects provide a strong foundation in learning theories, educational leadership, digital innovation, communication, equity, and inclusive practices. Level Two includes a 60-credit-point Inclusion and Diversity specialisation, allowing students to develop advanced knowledge and skills in supporting diverse learners, addressing barriers to participation, and designing inclusive educational approaches. Through this specialisation, students explore strategies that promote accessibility, equity, cultural understanding, and positive learning outcomes across educational contexts. The program prepares graduates to lead inclusive initiatives, contribute to educational improvement, and support diverse communities in schools and other learning environments. With a focus on research-informed practice and contemporary educational challenges, graduates are equipped for leadership, specialist, and advisory roles within the education sector.
