COURSE CURRICULUM

The Zoology major consists of 120 credit points within the Bachelor of Science program and provides students with a comprehensive understanding of animal biology, ecology and evolutionary processes. The major is structured across three levels of study, allowing students to build foundational knowledge in biological sciences before progressing to advanced topics in animal science and environmental interactions. Students explore areas including animal physiology, behaviour, reproduction, development, evolution, biodiversity and ecosystem relationships. The course structure combines theoretical study with practical learning experiences, enabling students to develop skills in scientific observation, field research, data collection and analysis. Students investigate how animals adapt to their environments, how populations change over time and how human activities influence wildlife and ecosystems. Through fieldwork opportunities and research-based learning, students gain practical experience in studying animal species and understanding ecological patterns. Graduates of the Zoology major develop strong scientific and analytical skills applicable to careers in wildlife conservation, environmental management, research, biodiversity protection and ecological consultancy. The major provides students with the knowledge and practical abilities needed to contribute to the study, conservation and sustainable management of animal species and natural ecosystems.
