COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of Science is a 600-credit-point double degree that combines comprehensive legal education with specialised scientific study. The course structure is designed across five levels, integrating core law subjects, science studies, major options and electives to provide students with broad interdisciplinary knowledge. In the early levels, students develop foundations in legal institutions, dispute resolution, criminal law, public law, contract law, tort law, constitutional law and scientific thinking through subjects focused on data, innovation and scientific concepts. As students progress, they build advanced legal skills in areas including property law, statutory interpretation, civil procedure, evidence, administrative law, company law and equity and trusts. Alongside their legal studies, students complete a chosen science major in areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data science, biotechnology, chemistry, genetics, psychology, physics or other scientific disciplines. The final levels include professional legal practice, research projects, internships, clinical placements and advanced electives, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts. Students can also select science minors or additional electives to broaden their expertise. This interdisciplinary structure prepares graduates for careers combining law and science, including legal practice, regulatory affairs, technology law, environmental policy, scientific consulting and research-focused roles.
