COURSE CURRICULUM

The Cloud Analytics major consists of 120 credit points within a 360-credit-point degree and is designed to develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in cloud computing, data analytics and information management. Students begin with core subjects such as Introduction to Cybersecurity and Data-Based Critical Thinking, providing a strong foundation in digital security and analytical thinking. At Level one, students also complete major subjects and electives that build essential computing and programming knowledge. In Level two, the curriculum includes core subjects in Database Fundamentals, User Interface Design and Systems Analysis and Design, alongside specialised Cloud Analytics subjects that focus on cloud technologies, data processing and analytical techniques. Elective subjects allow students to broaden their expertise across computing and related disciplines. In the final level, students complete a Capstone Project that integrates their technical knowledge to solve real-world challenges, supported by studies in Project Management and Professional Practices and Entrepreneurship in Information Technology. Advanced major subjects strengthen skills in cloud platforms, data analytics, business intelligence and scalable data solutions. Throughout the program, students develop practical experience in analysing large datasets, designing cloud-based systems and applying data-driven decision-making techniques. Graduates are prepared for careers in cloud computing, data analytics, business intelligence, information systems and digital transformation across a wide range of industries.
