COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Cybersecurity consists of 360 credit points completed over three levels of study, providing students with a comprehensive education in protecting digital systems, networks and information. The course structure is designed to develop foundational computing and cybersecurity knowledge before progressing to advanced technical and strategic concepts. In the first level, students build essential skills in programming, computing fundamentals, mathematics, communication and introductory cybersecurity principles, creating a strong base for further study. The second level focuses on more specialised topics, including network engineering, ethical hacking, information security, cyber algorithms, digital systems and risk management. Students develop practical skills in identifying vulnerabilities, securing networks and responding to cyber threats using industry-standard tools and techniques. In the final level, students study advanced cybersecurity concepts such as cyber defence, governance, digital forensics, security management and emerging technologies while completing practical projects that integrate their learning. Throughout the degree, students gain hands-on experience through project-based learning and industry-relevant activities that strengthen their technical, analytical and problem-solving abilities. Graduates are well prepared for careers in cybersecurity, network security, ethical hacking, cyber risk management, digital forensics and information security, with the knowledge and practical expertise needed to protect organisations and individuals in an increasingly digital world.
