COURSE CURRICULUM

The Artificial Intelligence major consists of 120 credit points within the Bachelor of Computer Science and provides students with specialised knowledge and skills in developing intelligent computing systems. The major is structured across three levels of study, allowing students to build a strong foundation in computer science before progressing to advanced artificial intelligence concepts and applications. Students explore key areas including machine learning, deep learning, algorithms, computer vision, natural language processing and intelligent system design. The course structure combines theoretical understanding with practical programming and problem-solving activities, enabling students to create AI solutions that can analyse information, recognise patterns and adapt to changing environments. Students develop skills in software development, data handling, computational thinking and the responsible application of AI technologies across different industries.
