COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Global Studies is a double degree requiring the completion of 480 credit points over four years of full-time study. The program integrates business education with global studies to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to understand and respond to complex international challenges. The curriculum combines core commerce subjects, Global Studies subjects, selected majors, minors, electives, and practical learning experiences. In the Commerce component, students can specialize in areas including accounting, business analytics, economics, finance, management, and marketing, developing expertise in business operations, financial decision-making, data analysis, strategy, and organizational leadership. The Global Studies component explores international relations, geopolitics, global security, human rights, sustainability and development, international cooperation, conflict, and global policy issues. Students may also study languages to strengthen intercultural communication and global engagement skills. The course emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, enabling students to connect commercial knowledge with social, political, and environmental perspectives. Through industry placements, work-integrated learning projects, and overseas exchange opportunities, students apply academic knowledge to real-world situations and develop professional experience. Graduates gain skills in critical thinking, communication, negotiation, research, cultural awareness, and problem-solving, preparing them for careers in international business, government, diplomacy, policy analysis, sustainability, consulting, non-government organizations, and global development fields.
