COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Arts is a double degree requiring the completion of 480 credit points over four years of full-time study. The course combines commerce and arts disciplines, allowing students to develop a broad interdisciplinary understanding of business, society, culture, and human behaviour. The curriculum includes core subjects from both disciplines, along with selected majors, minors, and electives that enable students to tailor their studies according to their interests and career goals. In the Commerce component, students can choose from areas such as accounting, business analytics, economics, finance, management, marketing, and other business disciplines, developing knowledge of markets, organizations, strategy, data, and decision-making. The Arts component provides opportunities to study fields including psychology, international studies, languages, sociology, politics, history, communication, and other humanities and social science areas. Students develop skills in critical thinking, research, communication, problem-solving, ethical reasoning, and strategic analysis while learning how to apply knowledge across different contexts. The course emphasizes practical learning through industry placements, work-integrated projects, and international study opportunities, helping students connect academic concepts with professional practice. Graduates gain a flexible and multidisciplinary skill set suited to careers in business, government, policy, consulting, communications, international organizations, and other sectors requiring commercial expertise combined with cultural awareness, creativity, and analytical capability.
