COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Economics requires the completion of 360 credit points over three years of full-time study. The degree combines core commerce subjects, an Economics major, electives, and professional development opportunities to provide students with a strong foundation in economic theory and practical business applications. The Economics major develops students’ understanding of how economic systems operate and how economic principles can be applied to government policy, business decisions, and social challenges. The curriculum introduces key areas including microeconomics, macroeconomics, economic modelling, data analysis, policy evaluation, and contemporary economic issues. Students examine topics such as poverty, inequality, inflation, unemployment, environmental sustainability, innovation, digital transformation, international trade, global competition, and economic development.
