COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Analytics at La Trobe University requires students to complete a total of 360 credit points, including core subjects, prescribed electives, major or minor studies, and elective options. In the first year, students complete 120 credit points of core subjects that build foundations in data analytics, business disruption, markets and economics, programming, finance, management, customer analytics, and generative artificial intelligence for business. The second year consists of 120 credit points, including 45 credit points of core studies in predictive analytics, data engineering and Python, and social media and visualisation. Students also complete prescribed electives such as sustainability, industry placement, or industry projects, along with major, minor, and elective subjects covering areas including economic analysis, accounting, marketing, human resource management, international finance, business ethics, and AI-powered marketing. The final year includes 120 credit points featuring a 15 credit point Analytics Project capstone, 45 credit points of core subjects in artificial intelligence and business automation, leading disruption, and responsible AI for sustainability. Students complete additional major, minor, and elective studies in areas such as supply chain analytics, digital transformation, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies. This curriculum develops expertise in data management, analytics techniques, AI applications, digital transformation, and responsible technology use, preparing graduates for careers in business analytics, data strategy, AI-driven decision-making, and technology-focused business roles.
