COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business (Management) at La Trobe University requires students to complete a total of 360 credit points. The program includes 60 credit points of core business subjects, a 120 credit point Management major, and 180 credit points that can be completed through a second major, minor, specialisation, or elective subjects, providing flexibility to personalise the degree according to career interests. In the first year, students complete 120 credit points covering core business disciplines such as accounting, finance, economics, management, marketing, business law, data fundamentals, and communication. The second year consists of 120 credit points with specialised management subjects focusing on organisational behaviour, leadership, business strategy, project management, innovation, decision-making, and workplace communication, together with elective or major subjects. The final year includes 120 credit points featuring advanced studies in strategic management, change management, global business, entrepreneurship, digital business, and organisational development, alongside additional elective or specialisation subjects. Throughout the program, students gain practical experience through interactive workshops, real-world business case studies, team projects, presentations, and the use of artificial intelligence tools to analyse business challenges and support strategic decisions. The curriculum develops strong leadership, analytical, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, preparing graduates for careers in business management, consulting, operations, project management, entrepreneurship, and leadership roles across diverse industries.
