COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business (Digital Business) at La Trobe University requires students to complete 360 credit points designed to develop strong business foundations and advanced digital capabilities. The course structure includes core business subjects, a 120 credit point Digital Business major, and additional study options through majors, minors, specialisations, or electives. In the first year, students complete 120 credit points covering essential business areas such as accounting, finance, management, economics, marketing, data fundamentals, and introductory digital business concepts. The second year includes 120 credit points focusing on specialised digital business knowledge, including digital disruption, artificial intelligence-powered marketing, data-driven decision-making, customer analytics, social media and visualisation, and digital technologies in business operations. Students also have opportunities to select elective subjects that broaden their understanding of business strategy and innovation. The final year consists of 120 credit points, where students undertake advanced digital business studies and apply their knowledge through practical projects and strategic problem-solving activities. The curriculum develops skills in digital transformation, business analytics, innovation management, technology-driven decision-making, and organisational change. Graduates are prepared for careers in digital strategy, digital marketing, business analytics, technology consulting, and leadership roles in digitally enabled organisations.
