COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business (Agribusiness) at La Trobe University requires students to complete 360 credit points, including 240 credit points of core subjects and 120 credit points selected through a second major, second specialisation, minor, or elective group. The course structure is designed to develop business knowledge while focusing on the agricultural sector, food production, supply chains, and sustainable agribusiness practices. In the first year, students complete 120 credit points, including 90 credit points of core studies and 30 credit points of electives or major/minor subjects, covering essential areas such as business fundamentals, economics, data analysis, management, and agribusiness concepts. The second year includes 120 credit points with 75 credit points of core subjects and 45 credit points of electives or major/minor options, allowing students to expand their knowledge in finance, risk management, sustainability, and business operations. The final year consists of 120 credit points, including a 30 credit point capstone experience, 45 credit points of core studies, and 45 credit points of electives or major/minor subjects. Students develop expertise in agribusiness management, agricultural markets, supply chains, agrifinance, data analytics, artificial intelligence applications, and sustainable resource management. This curriculum prepares graduates for careers in agricultural enterprises, food industries, rural business management, and global agribusiness sectors.
