COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts with a major in Digital Media requires the completion of 360 credit points over three years of full-time study. Students complete at least one 120-credit-point Arts major, while the remaining 240 credit points can be completed through electives, an additional Arts or non-Arts major, or up to two minors, providing flexibility to combine digital media with other areas of interest. The Digital Media major provides a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills focused on contemporary communication technologies and digital production. The curriculum introduces students to digital media practices, online communication, media industries, and the social impact of emerging technologies. Students develop skills in creating and managing digital content, including writing for digital audiences, social media planning, multimedia storytelling, video and audio production, podcast creation, and digital project development. Advanced study explores digital strategies, audience engagement, creative production processes, and the application of digital media skills in professional contexts. Students also gain knowledge of digital business practices and workplace applications, enhancing their ability to use technology effectively in modern industries. Through practical projects, collaborative activities, and interdisciplinary electives, students develop creativity, digital literacy, communication, research, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Graduates are prepared for careers in digital marketing, media production, communications, content creation, social media management, digital strategy, and other technology-focused fields.
