COURSE CURRICULUM

The Certificate IV in Ageing Support is a nationally recognized qualification designed for individuals aiming to build a rewarding career in aged care. This course equips students with the knowledge and practical skills required to support older people with complex needs in residential and community settings. The program focuses on person-centred care, promoting independence, and maintaining the physical and emotional wellbeing of clients. A palliative care unit further prepares students to deliver compassionate support to those with life-limiting conditions. The qualification emphasizes real-world application through a mandatory practical placement of at least 120 hours in an aged care facility, allowing students to gain hands-on experience under supervision.
