COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business at Griffith University is designed to prepare students for the dynamic and evolving world of business by equipping them with future-focused skills and knowledge. In Trimester 2 of 2025, students will complete a structured curriculum that includes a Core Module with 90 to 100 credit points. For students requiring English language support, the Language and Communication for Business and Commerce course is mandatory in the first trimester and replaces an elective. The core courses are thoughtfully developed to build foundational knowledge and practical business skills. These include The Purpose of Business, Why Money Matters, The Future of Work, Business Decision-Making, and Grand Challenges for Business. Together, these subjects introduce key principles of sustainability, inclusiveness, and global engagement. Students also take career-focused courses such as Path to Professional Success, Business Communication, and Empowerment through Experience, which help develop essential workplace competencies like communication, leadership, and career readiness. In the final stages of the degree, students complete the capstone course, Creating Better Business, which integrates their learning and challenges them to apply it to real-world problems. What sets this program apart is its innovative structure that blends theory with practical application, allowing students to engage in a variety of learning experiences including teamwork, critical analysis, and professional development. After completing the first year, students can choose from over 20 majors, such as Marketing, Management, Accounting, International Business, Sustainable Business, and Sport Management, with the flexibility to complete one or two majors. All majors are available both on-campus and online, offering convenience and adaptability for different student needs.
