COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Business Administration (Business Analytics) at Flinders University is structured around 16 topics designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of business management while specialising in analytics. Four of these topics focus exclusively on business analytics, equipping students with the skills to leverage data for strategic decision-making. The curriculum covers essential business disciplines including human resource management, marketing, economics, finance, ethics, sustainability, and law, ensuring a holistic understanding of organisational operations and governance. In the second year, students build advanced analytical capabilities through courses in data analysis, digital marketing, and analytics, applying quantitative and qualitative methods to solve complex business problems. The program offers flexibility for students to enhance practical experience, allowing them to choose an industry placement in place of one core topic or extend their exposure through specialised entrepreneurial programs such as FOMENT, which focuses on wine, viticulture, and tourism, or the Innovative Manufacturing Accelerator (IMA), which provides insights into advanced manufacturing practices. A major industry project forms a key component of the course, enabling students to synthesise and apply their learning across all areas of business and analytics in a practical, real-world context.
