COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Forensic Cyber Security curriculum provides advanced technical knowledge and practical skills required to protect digital systems, investigate cyber incidents, and analyse cybercrime in modern computing environments. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in networking and security, programming, cyber security fundamentals, and data-driven analysis. They also develop essential professional skills in communication, research, and IT project management, which are important for working effectively in technical and organizational environments. Additional subjects such as electronic commerce security and network operating systems with AWS cloud help students understand secure online systems and cloud infrastructure management. In the second year, the program becomes more specialized, focusing on cyber threat intelligence, cyber risk management, incident response, privacy, trust, and malware analysis. Students also complete a cooperative industry placement, providing real-world experience in IT and cybersecurity roles. The program includes a major research project across two semesters, allowing students to investigate real cybersecurity problems and develop practical solutions using advanced tools and methodologies. Overall, the degree prepares graduates for careers in cybersecurity analysis, digital forensics, incident response, ethical hacking, and cyber risk management in government agencies, law enforcement, and private organizations. It builds strong analytical, technical, and investigative skills needed to combat growing cyber threats globally.
