COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Business Administration (International) offers a flexible study structure requiring students to complete 8, 12, or 16 credit points, depending on their entry pathway, previous qualifications, and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) based on professional experience. The full 16-credit-point program begins with the compulsory zero-credit unit, DAI001 Academic Integrity and Respect at Deakin, completed during the first study period to establish strong academic and ethical foundations. The course includes 10 credit points of core units designed to develop advanced business and leadership capabilities across global contexts. Core studies cover business management foundations, accounts and governance, data analysis, international operations, environmental sustainability, global perspectives, trade and supply chains, international banking and finance, technology and strategy, business strategy, marketing technology, leadership, and international business management through a capstone experience. Students also complete two credit points of course elective units, allowing them to expand their expertise in selected business areas, along with four credit points of open elective units that provide additional flexibility and interdisciplinary learning opportunities. Through this structure, students gain strategic thinking, analytical skills, leadership capability, and international business knowledge required to navigate complex global markets. The combination of theoretical learning, practical application, and industry-focused study prepares graduates for leadership roles in multinational organisations, international management, consulting, and global business development.
