COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Science at Deakin University is a 32-credit-point double degree that integrates commercial expertise with scientific knowledge, providing students with a broad and adaptable skill set for diverse career pathways. The course consists of 16 credit points from the Bachelor of Commerce and 16 credit points from the Bachelor of Science, with students required to satisfy the academic requirements of both degrees. The Commerce component includes 8 credit points of core units that establish essential business knowledge, along with one major consisting of 8 credit points that allows students to specialise in a chosen business discipline. Students must also complete a minimum of 4 credit points of Faculty of Business and Law units at level 3 to develop advanced understanding. The Science component begins with compulsory safety and employability units, followed by 8 credit points of core Science units excluding SLE209, one Science major consisting of 6 credit points, and 2 credit points of course elective units. Students are required to complete at least 4 credit points of Bachelor of Science units at level 3 to ensure advanced scientific learning.
