COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Communication at Deakin University is a 32-credit-point double degree that integrates business knowledge with communication expertise, preparing students for diverse professional opportunities. The course consists of 16 credit points from the Bachelor of Commerce and 16 credit points from the Bachelor of Communication, with students required to satisfy the academic requirements of both degrees. The Commerce component includes 8 credit points of core units that establish essential business knowledge and skills, along with one major consisting of 8 credit points that allows students to specialise in an area aligned with their career goals. Students must also complete a minimum of 4 credit points from the Faculty of Business and Law at level 3 to develop advanced understanding in their chosen discipline. The Communication component includes 1 credit point of core units, 3 credit points of employability sequence units including either AWL100 or MWL101, one major comprising 8 credit points, and 4 credit points of course elective units at level 2 or 3.
