COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Arts at Deakin University is a 32-credit-point double degree that combines professional business knowledge with broad arts perspectives, allowing students to develop a versatile skill set for diverse career pathways. The course structure includes 16 credit points from the Bachelor of Commerce and 16 credit points from the Bachelor of Arts, with students required to satisfy the requirements of both degrees. The Commerce component consists of 8 credit points of core units that establish essential business knowledge and skills, along with one major comprising 8 credit points that enables students to specialise in an area aligned with their career goals. Students must complete a minimum of 4 credit points of Faculty of Business and Law units at level 3 to demonstrate advanced understanding in their chosen field. The Arts component requires students to complete one major of 8 credit points and a minimum of 4 credit points of Faculty of Arts units at level 3, supporting deeper learning and critical analysis. Remaining credit points may be used for the Employability sequence or additional Bachelor of Arts elective units, which may include a minor sequence.
