COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Arts at Deakin University is a 32-credit-point double degree that combines business knowledge with arts-based perspectives, enabling students to develop a broad and adaptable skill set for diverse career opportunities. The course structure consists of 16 credit points from the Bachelor of Business and 16 credit points from the Bachelor of Arts, with students required to satisfy the academic requirements of both degrees. The Business component includes 8 credit points of core units that provide essential knowledge in key business areas, along with one major consisting of 8 credit points that allows students to specialise according to their career interests. The Arts component requires students to complete one major of 8 credit points, supported by additional Arts units that encourage flexibility and interdisciplinary learning. Students must complete a minimum of 4 credit points of Arts-coded units at level 3 to develop advanced knowledge and critical understanding within their chosen discipline. Remaining credit points may be used for the Employability sequence or additional Bachelor of Arts elective units, which may include a minor sequence. Through this structure, students gain a combination of business expertise, creativity, communication skills, and analytical thinking, preparing them for professional roles across industries while meeting the requirements of both the Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Arts programs.
