COURSE CURRICULUM

The MBA with Energy Transition Specialisation is a postgraduate program that combines core business management knowledge with specialised expertise in the changing global energy sector. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in key areas of business through units such as Economics for Managers, Executive Financial Decision Making, Organisational Behaviour for Managers, Organisational Strategy, Strategic Operations Management, and Synergising Marketing. These core units develop essential skills in economic analysis, financial decision-making, leadership, organisational management, strategic planning, operations, and marketing. In Trimester 3, students undertake the Energy Transition Specialisation, which provides focused learning on the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the oil, gas, and energy industries. The specialisation enables students to understand energy sector transformation, sustainability challenges, resource management, technological developments, and strategic approaches required to operate in a rapidly changing environment. Through this combination of business fundamentals and energy-focused knowledge, students develop the ability to evaluate complex industry issues, adapt business strategies, and support organisations through periods of transition. The program prepares graduates for leadership roles in energy management, resource industries, sustainability, strategic planning, and business transformation by developing advanced analytical, decision-making, and management capabilities relevant to the evolving energy landscape.
