COURSE CURRICULUM

The course structure of the Master of Science (Minerals and Energy Economics) and Master of Business Administration double degree is designed to develop advanced expertise in resource economics, finance, management, and strategic business leadership. Over three years, the program combines specialized knowledge of the minerals and energy sectors with comprehensive MBA studies to prepare graduates for senior professional roles. In the first year, students study key areas including Resource Sector Management, Mineral Finance and Project Evaluation, Resource Sector Finance, Econometrics and Forecasting, Natural Resources Economics, and Energy Technology Economics. They can also select electives covering topics such as mineral markets, energy policy, risk management, resource costs, socioeconomic impacts, and corporate governance. The second year focuses on advanced business and leadership skills through subjects including Organisational Behaviour, Executive Financial Decision Making, Global Business Sustainability, Strategic Operations Management, Organisational Strategy, and Marketing. Additional elective options allow students to further specialize in resource and energy-related fields. In the final year, students complete major capstone projects in Mineral and Energy Economics and Business Administration, integrating their knowledge and applying analytical and strategic skills to real-world challenges.
