COURSE CURRICULUM

Metallurgical Engineering program is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and advanced skills in mineral processing, extractive metallurgy, process design, and resource management. Over two years, students develop expertise in the fundamental and advanced techniques required for the efficient extraction, separation, and refining of metals from various resources. In the first year, students study key areas including Fluid and Particle Processes, Metallurgical Chemistry Techniques, and Mineral Processing, building a strong foundation in metallurgical principles and industrial applications. The second semester expands this knowledge through subjects such as Hydrometallurgy Techniques, Process Mineralogy Techniques, and Advanced Mineral Processing Techniques, focusing on modern approaches for mineral recovery and processing efficiency. In the second year, students explore Pyrometallurgy Techniques and gain an understanding of the economic aspects of the mining and metallurgical industries through subjects such as Natural Resources Economics or Mineral Finance and Project Evaluation. The program concludes with an advanced Process Design project, allowing students to integrate their technical knowledge and develop innovative solutions for real-world metallurgical challenges. Through a combination of theoretical learning, practical applications, and industry-focused approaches, the course prepares graduates for professional careers in mineral processing, extractive metallurgy, sustainable resource management, and advanced process engineering.
