COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Information Systems and Technology in Data Analytics and Visualisation is a two-year postgraduate program designed to develop advanced skills in information systems, data management, business analytics, and emerging technologies. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in ICT and business systems through units such as Designing Database Systems, Introduction to Programming, Systems Analysis, and Technological Infrastructure. They further develop their professional capabilities through Business Project Management, Data Management, Information Systems Management, and the Societal Impact of Technological Innovation, gaining knowledge of how technology supports organisational decision-making and operations. In the second year, students specialise in data analytics and intelligent systems through units including Business Analytics and Data Visualisation, Business Intelligence and Analytics, and AI-Driven Knowledge Systems. Students also have the opportunity to select elective units in areas such as business enterprise systems, enterprise network security, information security audit and control, or gain practical industry experience through options including a Commerce Internship, Study Tour, Sustainability and Global Business Study Tour, or other professional learning activities. The program combines technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and practical application to prepare graduates for careers in data analytics, business intelligence, information systems management, technology consulting, and ICT leadership roles. Graduates develop the ability to transform data into meaningful insights and support strategic business decisions in technology-driven environments.
