COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Computing in Cyber Security is a two-year postgraduate program designed to develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in protecting digital systems, networks, and information infrastructure. The course provides students with a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, security technologies, threat management, and strategies for defending against evolving cyber risks. In the first year, students establish a foundation in cybersecurity and computing through units such as Fundamental Concepts of Data Security, Web Application Frameworks, Data Network Security, and Data Mining. These subjects develop essential capabilities in secure information management, web technologies, network protection, and data analysis. In the second year, students advance their expertise through specialised cybersecurity units including Incident Handling and Forensics in Network Defence, Intrusion Detection, Penetration Testing, and Secure DevOps. The program focuses on practical approaches to identifying vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents, analysing threats, and implementing secure software and infrastructure solutions.
