COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Computing in Computer Science is a two-year postgraduate program designed to develop advanced computing knowledge, technical expertise, and practical skills aligned with the needs of the modern technology industry. The program combines software engineering, data analysis, cloud computing, machine learning, and secure computing practices to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of contemporary computer science. In the first year, students develop core technical capabilities through units such as Web Application Frameworks, Introduction to Software Engineering, Data Mining, and Cloud Ops – Security and Automation. These subjects build essential skills in software development, data processing, web technologies, cloud infrastructure, and automated computing environments. In the second year, students advance their expertise through specialised units including Explainable Approaches to Machine Learning, Advanced Problems in Computer Science, Software Engineering Requirements and Specification, and Secure DevOps. The course emphasises both theoretical understanding and practical application, enabling students to design, analyse, and implement effective computing solutions for complex real-world challenges. Through exposure to emerging technologies, software engineering methodologies, artificial intelligence concepts, and cybersecurity practices, students develop strong analytical, programming, and problem-solving abilities. Graduates are prepared for professional roles in software development, cloud computing, data science, cybersecurity, systems analysis, technology consulting, and other advanced computing fields.
