COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Commerce in Human Resources is a two-year postgraduate program designed to develop advanced knowledge and professional skills in strategic human resource management, employment relations, leadership, and workforce development. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in business and HR practices through units such as Business Analytics and Data Visualisation, Business Project Management, Human Resource Strategies, and the Societal Impact of Technological Innovation. They further enhance their understanding of people management through Business Research Methods, Corporate Sustainability Immersion, Fundamentals of Leadership, and Human Resource Development. In the second year, students explore advanced HR and employment topics, including Employment Relations in Australia, Global Employment and Human Resource Management, Remuneration, Reward and Performance Management, Corporate Strategy, and Dispute Resolution in Employment Relations. Students also undertake Executive Education and engage with complex organisational challenges through Wicked Problems. The program provides opportunities for practical industry experience through options such as the Commerce Clinic, Commerce Internship, Study Tour, Sustainability and Global Business Study Tour, or Applied Business Consulting. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge, research, collaborative learning, and practical application, graduates develop the skills required to manage workplace performance, employee engagement, organisational change, and strategic workforce planning across diverse industries.
