COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science (Health Sciences) and Bachelor of Innovation double degree is a four-year program that integrates health sciences, data analytics, business innovation, and project management. In the first year, students develop foundational knowledge through subjects including Foundations for Professional Health Practice, Human Structure and Function, Financial Decision Making, Strategic Career Design, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Indigenous Cultures and Health Behaviours, and Markets and Legal Frameworks. The second year focuses on expanding health knowledge through Big Data and Health, Health Psychology, Public Health, Healthcare Systems, Health Data Visualisation, and Innovation Principles, while developing design and technology skills. In the third year, students explore advanced topics such as Environmental Health Management, Health Data Governance, Project Management, Responsible Innovation and Leadership, Global Public and Planetary Health, Mental Health Promotion, and Sustainable Business Innovation. The final year emphasises professional application through Applied Research and Biostatistics, Business Innovation Lab, Climate Change, Health and Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Health, and Management of Innovation. Students also gain practical experience through options such as business clinics, internships, study tours, international projects, entrepreneurship, and professional public health practice. This interdisciplinary structure prepares graduates with skills in health research, data-driven decision-making, innovation strategy, leadership, and project delivery for careers in public health, consulting, entrepreneurship, research, and healthcare management.
