COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Innovation double degree is a four-year program that combines scientific expertise with innovation, entrepreneurship, and business skills. In the first year, students develop foundational knowledge through subjects such as Financial Decision Making, Integrating Indigenous Science and STEM, Strategic Career Design, Markets and Legal Frameworks, and a selected Science stream. Students choose from a wide range of Science disciplines, including Agricultural Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Marine Science, Data Science, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, Food Science, Information and Communication Technology, Mathematics, Physics, and Software Development. In the second year, students build design and innovation capabilities through Design Principles and Process, Design Computing or Business Programming, while completing their chosen Science major and additional minors or specialisations such as Artificial Intelligence, Climate Change Science, Environmental Management, Food Science, Geospatial Technology, and Statistical Data Science. The third year focuses on professional and innovation skills through Project Management and Introduction to Innovation Principles. In the final year, students complete advanced innovation studies, including Responsible Innovation and Leadership, Sustainable Business Innovation Project, Business Innovation Lab, and Management of Innovation, along with opportunities for study tours, internships, international projects, entrepreneurship, or management studies. This interdisciplinary structure prepares graduates to apply scientific knowledge creatively, develop innovative solutions, and pursue careers in research, technology, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and emerging industries.
