COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Innovation double degree is a five-year program that integrates legal education with innovation, entrepreneurship, and business management. In the first year, students establish a foundation in legal studies through Legal Foundations, Legal Research and Writing, Business, Law and Regulation, and Indigenous Peoples, Law and Justice, while also studying communication, strategic career design, financial decision-making, and business law. During the second year, students build core legal knowledge by completing Contract Law and Tort Law, alongside studies in analytics, design thinking, innovation principles, and elective units in design or business programming. The third year focuses on innovation and leadership through subjects such as Project Management, Responsible Innovation and Leadership, Sustainable Business Innovation Project, Business Innovation Lab, and Management of Innovation. Students also gain practical experience through internships, business clinics, international projects, or study tours, with opportunities to study entrepreneurship or international management. In the fourth year, students complete advanced legal subjects, including Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Administrative Law, Evidence, Equity, Corporate Law, Civil Procedure, and Professional Responsibility. The final year includes Trusts and a selection of specialised law electives such as Intellectual Property, Law and Technology, Human Rights, Environmental Law, Employment Law, International Commercial Law, and Legal Internship, preparing graduates for careers in legal practice, innovation, and emerging industries.
