COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts double degree is structured over five years, combining core legal studies with a specialised Arts major in International Relations, Journalism, or Digital and Social Media. During the first two years, students build a strong legal foundation by studying subjects such as Legal Foundations, Legal Research and Writing, Indigenous Peoples, Law and Justice, Business, Law and Regulation, Contract Law, and Tort Law. The third year focuses on the selected Arts major, allowing students to develop expertise in their chosen discipline through specialised coursework. In the fourth year, students complete advanced law units covering Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Statutory Interpretation, Property Law, Administrative Law, Evidence, Civil Procedure, Equity, Corporate Law, and Professional Responsibility, strengthening their understanding of key legal principles and professional practice. In the final year, students study Trusts and choose elective law units from a wide range of specialised areas, including Family Law, Human Rights Law, Environmental Law, Intellectual Property, Employment Law, Public International Law, Legal Internship, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Law and Technology, Taxation, Corporate Governance, and Consumer Law. Alongside these electives, students complete 400 credit points in their selected Arts major, enabling them to graduate with comprehensive legal knowledge and specialised expertise for diverse professional careers.
