COURSE CURRICULUM

Graduates of the Bachelor of Communications will be able to critically evaluate and apply theoretical frameworks across media and communication disciplines, enabling them to understand and influence diverse audiences and platforms. They will exercise creativity and initiative in professional practice, producing innovative and relevant content while maintaining ethical standards. Students develop practical and communication skills necessary for digital competence and media literacy, equipping them to navigate contemporary technological and social landscapes effectively. The program fosters an understanding of global conditions, including social, cultural, political, economic, and technological changes, and encourages students to apply this knowledge in their media practice. Graduates will also develop cultural capability, demonstrating respect for First Peoples and engaging ethically and inclusively with diverse cultures in both community and professional contexts. Through their two chosen specialisations, students will learn to initiate, design, deliver, and promote industry-standard outcomes, integrating professional judgment, creativity, and ethical practice to meet the demands of a dynamic communications industry.
