Bachelor of Audio Production in Audio Production

The Bachelor of Audio Production is structured across three years and provides progressive training in recording, mixing, post-production, live production, acoustics, entrepreneurship and emerging audio technologies. In the first year, students establish core technical and creative foundations through subjects such as Recording Foundations, Recording Studio Techniques, Mixing Foundations, Short Films, Locations and Libraries, Analogue Production, Digital Introduction and Monitors, Creative Foundations and Industry Foundations. These subjects develop essential skills in studio recording, mixing, live sound and creative production. The second year builds on these fundamentals with more advanced and specialised subjects, including Expanded Production, Mastering, Game and Interactive Sound, TV and ADR, Advanced Digital and Wireless, Advanced Live Production, Acoustics and The Audio Entrepreneur. Students gain broader experience across studio, screen, gaming and live environments while developing technical and business capabilities. In the third year, students focus on professional and industry-ready practice through Contemporary Production, the Audio Production Capstone Project, Immersive Audio, Audio Visual Production, Future Technologies, an elective and Industry Placement. This final stage allows students to apply their knowledge to professional projects, explore emerging technologies and gain practical industry experience.
