Specialized technical units, including Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Algorithms, Asset Security and Risk Management, Communications and Network Security Engineering, Identity Access Management and Security Operations, and Security Assessment in Software Development, develop students’ capability to design, implement, and manage secure IT systems in real-world contexts. The program also includes Cyber Security Practice, a 20-credit point intensive unit that provides applied, hands-on experience in contemporary cyber security challenges. In addition to the core units, students complete one 20-credit point specialist elective, which may be either Professional Experience or an IT Thesis. This elective allows students to tailor their study to their career goals, either through industry engagement or independent research, reinforcing practical skills or exploring innovative cyber security solutions in depth. Graduates of the program will be well-prepared to enter professional roles such as cyber security analysts, IT security consultants, penetration testers, and network security engineers, with the capability to protect digital infrastructures, manage risks, and respond to emerging cyber threats effectively.
