COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business is a 240-credit-point degree designed to build strong foundational knowledge and advanced skills in business, combining core studies, specialist learning, and flexible electives. The core component consists of 120 credit points across 12 units that cover essential areas such as business communication, economics, entrepreneurship, business law, management, marketing fundamentals, quantitative analysis, accounting for managers, business ethics, cultural capabilities, global digital enterprise, and a final capstone business project that integrates theoretical learning with practical application. Students then complete 60 to 100 credit points of specialist elective units, where they choose a major, minor, or customised study pathway depending on their career interests. With Human Resource Management as the major, students complete six focused units: Comparative Management Systems, Project Management, Organisational Change and Development, Negotiation and Conflict Management, Global Human Resources, and Strategic Leadership. This major develops strong expertise in people management, organisational behaviour, leadership, workplace development, and global HR practices, preparing students for careers in human resource management and organisational leadership roles. Additionally, students complete 20 to 60 credit points of general electives selected from across the university, with a requirement to complete at least 60 credit points at the 300 level or above. Overall, the program blends theory, strategy, and practical skills to prepare graduates for dynamic careers in HR, management, and business leadership.
