COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business is a 240-credit-point program designed to provide students with a strong foundation in business knowledge, analytical ability, and practical skills, combining core studies, specialist electives, and flexible learning options. The core component consists of 120 credit points across 12 units, covering essential areas such as business communication, economics, entrepreneurship, business law, management, marketing fundamentals, quantitative analysis, accounting for managers, business ethics, cultural capabilities, global digital enterprise, and a final capstone business project that integrates academic learning with real-world business practice. Students then complete 60 to 100 credit points of specialist elective units, where they choose a major, minor, or customised pathway aligned with their career goals. With Financial Management as the major, students complete six focused units: Introduction to Accounting, Management Accounting, International Business Finance and Economics, Evidence-Based Strategy Creation, Finance and Investment Management, and Strategic Management. This major develops strong expertise in financial analysis, investment decision-making, corporate finance, and strategic planning, preparing students for careers in banking, financial services, corporate finance, and investment management roles. Additionally, students complete 20 to 60 credit points of general electives from across the university, with a requirement to complete at least 60 credit points at the 300 level or above. Overall, the program blends theoretical knowledge with applied financial skills to prepare graduates for professional careers in the global financial and business environment.
