COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Information Technology (Mobile Application Development Major) is a 15-unit postgraduate program consisting of an 11-unit major and a 4-unit minor designed to develop advanced skills in mobile software and web application development. The program focuses on creating user-friendly, responsive, and market-ready applications for modern mobile platforms. Students begin with foundational units such as Introduction to Programming, Cyber Security and Networking, Information Systems Analysis and Design, Database Design and Development, and Professional Skills and Ethics in ICT, which build essential technical and professional competencies. The course also includes Project Management Concepts, ensuring students understand planning and delivery of IT projects. Advanced technical units such as Responsive Web Design, Mobile Web App Development, App Development for Mobile Platforms, and Mobile Game Development provide hands-on experience in designing and developing mobile applications across different platforms and technologies. The major concludes with either a Mobile App Development Project or a Postgraduate ICT Internship, allowing students to apply their skills in real-world industry environments. The optional internship provides valuable workplace experience and industry exposure. Overall, the program prepares graduates for careers in mobile application development, software engineering, web development, and IT consulting, with strong emphasis on practical skills, industry readiness, and modern application development technologies.
