COURSE CURRICULUM

The Hospitality Management Major combined with a Marketing Minor is designed to prepare students for dynamic careers in hospitality, tourism, and marketing industries by integrating service management knowledge with strategic marketing skills. The program includes core hospitality and marketing-related units such as Hospitality Management Fundamentals, Marketing Communications, Marketing of Service Products, Consumer Behaviour, Developing Sustainable Tourism Enterprises, Marketing Research and Analytics, Contemporary HRM Issues, and Innovation in Tourism Using Design Thinking. These units provide a strong foundation in customer service management, tourism operations, consumer psychology, and sustainable business practices. Students also develop analytical and strategic skills through marketing research and data-driven decision-making. When combined with a Marketing Minor, students replace overlapping units such as Consumer Behaviour and Marketing of Service Products with Strategic Marketing and Planning and Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Start-ups to ensure a broader skill set without duplication. This combination helps students understand both operational and strategic aspects of hospitality and marketing industries.
