COURSE CURRICULUM

In Year 1 of the program, you will develop a strong foundation in professional psychological practice by studying counselling psychotherapies, psychological assessment, skills for safe and ethical practice, and psychopathology and therapy for adults, families, children, and adolescents. Alongside your coursework, you will begin your first supervised internship at the on-campus Psychology Clinic, allowing you to apply theoretical knowledge in a real clinical environment while receiving guidance from experienced academic staff. In Year 2, you will further strengthen your professional competence by developing advanced clinical skills through a combination of coursework, a second internship, and two externships. These externships will be undertaken in community-based settings under external supervision, providing valuable exposure to diverse client populations and professional contexts. This progression ensures graduates are well prepared for professional psychological practice through extensive hands-on experience, structured supervision, and advanced clinical training.
