COURSE CURRICULUM

In Semester 1 of the program, you will undertake four subjects that focus on advanced areas of psychology, including psychotherapies, clinical skills development, professional practice, and ethical standards, providing a strong foundation for applied psychological work. These subjects emphasise the integration of theory with practice and support the development of professional judgement, ethical decision-making, and effective client engagement. In Semester 2, you will complete a further two coursework subjects that concentrate on psychopathology and therapy studies, deepening your understanding of mental health conditions and evidence-based intervention approaches. Alongside this coursework, you will be required to complete 300 hours of professional experience and practice, allowing you to apply your knowledge in real-world settings under supervision and to build practical competence, confidence, and readiness for the next stage of supervised psychological practice.
