COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Laws program requires students to complete eighty credit points of law electives, allowing a high level of flexibility and specialisation. Students may select subjects from a broad range of postgraduate law electives offered by the Law Faculty, including LAWS75 and LAWS77 subjects, or choose to focus their studies through one of several specialised areas. Available specialisations include Canadian Law and Practice, International Business and Finance Law, Corporate and Commercial Law and Practice, Dispute Resolution, Family Dispute Resolution, Legal Innovation and Technology, and Climate Law. This structure enables students to tailor their studies to align with their professional interests and career goals, whether they wish to deepen expertise in a particular legal field or gain a broader understanding across multiple areas of law. Through these electives, students strengthen advanced legal knowledge, research capability, and critical analysis skills while engaging with contemporary legal issues in both domestic and international contexts.
