Master of Construction Practice/ Master of Project Management

The combined Master of Construction Practice and Master of Project Management at Bond University requires students to complete a total of 180 credit points over two years and six semesters. The program consists entirely of compulsory subjects, ensuring that students develop comprehensive knowledge and practical skills across construction practice, project management and professional development. The curriculum includes Research Methods and Data Visualisation, Measurement 1 and 2, Integrated Measurement and Professional Practice, Structures and Materials, Understanding Buildings, and Building Services, providing students with a strong foundation in construction processes and technical knowledge. Students also study key project management areas such as Principles of Project Management, Risk Management, Project Finance and Procurement, Project Portfolio and Program Management, Project Contract Administration, and Project Resource Planning. Further subjects including Early Estimating and Cost Planning and Commercial Construction and Engineering develop students’ understanding of financial, commercial and technical aspects of construction projects. Expert Witness and Dispute Resolution further prepares students to address professional and contractual matters that may arise within the construction industry. The program also includes a 20-credit-point Research Project, allowing students to apply their knowledge to an independent area of investigation. Overall, the subject structure provides an integrated combination of construction expertise, project management principles, financial and contractual knowledge, risk management, and professional practice, preparing graduates for careers managing complex construction and infrastructure projects.
