COURSE CURRICULUM

The program requires students to complete a total of 125 credit points across a range of subjects designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in communication, advertising, and public relations. Core subjects include Brand Communication, Social Media: Risks and Opportunities, Human Communication Theory, Strategic Organisational Communication and Leadership, and Communication and Social Influence, each contributing 10 credit points. Students also complete a substantial Professional Portfolio worth 45 credit points, which allows them to develop, document, and showcase practical work and applied learning experiences throughout the program. Research skills are emphasized through Research Methods and Data Visualisation and Research Project A, each worth 10 credit points, providing students with the ability to design, conduct, and present research projects effectively. Additionally, the Public Relations Masterclass, also 10 credit points, equips students with advanced PR strategies and techniques relevant to contemporary media and organisational contexts. Together, these subjects offer a comprehensive and integrated curriculum, combining theoretical foundations, research competence, practical application, and professional preparation, ensuring graduates are well-equipped for careers in communication, public relations, and related industries.
