COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Business (Professional) program is structured across five semesters, designed to provide a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and professional experience. In the first semester, students establish the foundations of business, studying core subjects such as Accounting, Finance, and Marketing, while beginning a specialisation or elective to broaden their expertise in areas of interest. Semester two continues the development of required subjects, including Principles of Economics, International Human Resource Management, Leading Innovation and Change, and Analysis and Application, alongside further study in a chosen specialisation or elective. In the third semester, students advance their learning with two more required subjects and a specialisation or elective, choosing from areas such as Data Analytics, Finance, Health Management, International Business, Marketing, or Tourism Management, enabling them to create a focused niche and build on their expertise. Semester four completes the remaining required subjects in management and analysis, while students also take a final elective or specialisation, consolidating their knowledge in preparation for the practical component of the program. The fifth and final semester is dedicated to a 20-week professional learning experience, where students integrate their theoretical and practical knowledge in real-world settings. This professional component can take the form of vocational experience in a related industry or structured professional development exercises and research projects, allowing students to apply learned concepts, develop workplace competencies, and enhance employability. Through this combination of coursework, specialisation, and professional experience, the Master of Business (Professional) equips graduates with the skills to think critically, communicate effectively, work collaboratively, make ethical and responsible business decisions, and navigate complex, dynamic, and global business environments.
